Hey everyone! Today I’m wearing one of the first OPI polishes I ever bought: Sand in My Suit. This light tan nude with silvery shimmer is  from OPI’s  2009 South Beach Spring/Summer Collection. Four years later and I still love it! This is two easy coats.

What’s the oldest nail polish you own?

This is a throwback from the Up and Away collection. It’s a bright, nearly neon kelly green creme. None of these pics are spot on, its much brighter and greener in person. I did three thin coats but you could probably get away with two.

China Glaze Secret Periwinkle is one of my all time favorite polishes. It’s a light, not quite pastel blurple creme and the formula is perfection. Here it is on its own (OPI Crown Me Already on ring finger):

Here it is layered under Finger Paints Paparazzi (a sheer light blue, teal, and lavender glitter) and Rimmel London Violet Metal on the ring finger.

Navigate Her is from Essie’s Spring 2012 collection. It’s not quite as bright as it appears in these pics its more of a muted sage/pistachio color. I love this color and its perfect for spring but the formula COULD be better. It was really thick and annoying.

Royal Cloak is a deep blue based purple with silver flakies. The flakies don’t show up as much on the nail as they do  in the bottle but its still pretty awesome. This is a great color for fall. I was also really impressed with the formula. In my past experiences with Revlon nail polishes, I found them to be really runny, but this was perfection. The pics below are two coats with a top coat of seche vite.

I originally went into Icing to get some of their magnetic polishes and I just happened to see these and decided to get them too since I don’t have anything similar in my collection. My Date with a Royal is a dusty royal blue packed with silver shimmer. This is two coats with no top coat:

After Party is a multi-colored glitter of random shapes and sizes in a clear base. There’s orange, pink, green, blue, gold, and silver. The shape of the glitter kind of reminds me of shards of broken glass. After Party has the irregular shapes that flake polishes have with the sparkliness that you see in regular glitter. It dries a lit smoother than I expected it to, but it can be a hassle to remove. The foil method is gonna be your best bet. This polish is definitely in my top ten. The first pic below is one coat over My Date with a Royal and the rest are two with a coat of seche vite.

Lady Luck is a berry/magenta super sparkly holo packed glitter. It’s like the berry version of China Glaze Some Like it Haute. It’s gritty as hell just like most of the glitters similar to this. The good thing is its opaque in just two coats. It also dries matte so I did two coats of arched vite on top to help smooth it out.

Tweet Me is a shimmery buttercup yellow. It’s pretty sheer this is 3 coats and I still think it could use a fourth. Other than the sheerness the formula is pretty good though and I love the color.

Stellare Notte is an awesome dark multichrome shimmer with a charcoal base that flashes blue, green, purple, and pink. These pictures don’t do it justice at all, its much better in person. This is definitely one of the top ten in my collection.
