Today’s mani is a glitter gradient featuring China Glaze Fancy Pants and Nyx Dynamic Glitter.
Fancy Pants is a medium blue with a subtle purple shimmer. After it dries it is a little darker than what you see in the bottle.
Dynamic Glitter is a super sparkly lavender glitter with larger hexagon glitter.

I really like how these turned out. Glitter gradients are a really easy way to add a little exta something to a basic mani.

Today I’m wearing one of Funky Fingers solar polishes called Partly Cloudy. Indoors it’s a bright blue-leaning teal and when you go outside it turns into a dusty teal.

I was a bit disappointed with the color change because on the cap of the bottle it makes it seem like it’s going to turn from bright blue to gray and that is definitely not the case, but overall I still like it. The formula was good and it only needed two coats. Funky fingers are available at Five Below. I can’t remember how much this was but I do know their regular polishes are 3 for $5 and the solar ones were a tad bit more expensive.

Mermaid’s Dream is one of the best polishes ever in my book (top 20 for sure). It’s a seafoam green shimmer sprinkled with royal blue glitter. It’s opaque in two coats but it is kinda gritty so I did two coats of top coat.

China Glaze Secret Periwinkle is one of my all time favorite polishes. It’s a light, not quite pastel blurple creme and the formula is perfection. Here it is on its own (OPI Crown Me Already on ring finger):

Here it is layered under Finger Paints Paparazzi (a sheer light blue, teal, and lavender glitter) and Rimmel London Violet Metal on the ring finger.

This was a quick and easy design that I got the idea from on tumblr here.

I used a light blue called Now You Sea Me by L’Oréal and a medium berry/fuchia called Through the Grapevine from Wet n Wild’s Megalast line for the base colors. For the stripes and dots I used Black Satin from Rimmel.

I originally went into Icing to get some of their magnetic polishes and I just happened to see these and decided to get them too since I don’t have anything similar in my collection. My Date with a Royal is a dusty royal blue packed with silver shimmer. This is two coats with no top coat:

After Party is a multi-colored glitter of random shapes and sizes in a clear base. There’s orange, pink, green, blue, gold, and silver. The shape of the glitter kind of reminds me of shards of broken glass. After Party has the irregular shapes that flake polishes have with the sparkliness that you see in regular glitter. It dries a lit smoother than I expected it to, but it can be a hassle to remove. The foil method is gonna be your best bet. This polish is definitely in my top ten. The first pic below is one coat over My Date with a Royal and the rest are two with a coat of seche vite.

The shots above are outdoors in sunlight. Fly looks a bit more blue indoors:

Instead if changing my whole mani from yesterday like I normally do, I decided to just update it with some nail art. I think it turned out pretty good!

Colors used: China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise, Orly Flirty, and a black with silver glitter striper.
