Today’s mani is a glitter gradient featuring China Glaze Fancy Pants and Nyx Dynamic Glitter.
Fancy Pants is a medium blue with a subtle purple shimmer. After it dries it is a little darker than what you see in the bottle.
Dynamic Glitter is a super sparkly lavender glitter with larger hexagon glitter.
I really like how these turned out. Glitter gradients are a really easy way to add a little exta something to a basic mani.
Hey everyone! Today I have a quick hair post. I ended up co-washing today because my updo was becoming an up-don’t. I also wanted to be able to get to my scalp and get all the product out of my hair.
I don’t normally prepoo when cowashing but I did this time to help soften up the parts of my hair that were hard from the eco-styler gel. This was my first time using the Organix Awapuhi conditioner and I actually really like it. It gave my hair a lot more slip than I expected since it has protein in it. After my hair finishes air-drying I plan on doing a flexi-rod set with the back and sides pinned up.

Hey everyone! Today I’m wearing one of the first OPI polishes I ever bought: Sand in My Suit. This light tan nude with silvery shimmer is from OPI’s 2009 South Beach Spring/Summer Collection. Four years later and I still love it! This is two easy coats.

What’s the oldest nail polish you own?
This week I was due for a protein treatment since I am six weeks post. I figured this would be a good week to straighten my hair and do a length check since it would be strengthened from the protein.
Being a nail polish junkie can get expensive. Salon brands (and some drugstore brands) can run you anywhere from $7 to $20 apiece. Luckily there are some great cheap drugstore brands with formulas to rival that of any OPI, China Glaze, or Nails Inc polish. Here are my top five under five bucks along with a few of my favorite shades from each brand:

Hey everyone! After tons of research and deliberation I have finally decided on a hair regimen that I can (hopefully) stick to. I still haven’t found all my staple products (although I do have a few) so the products I use may change but the process will be the same.

Hey everyone! So I was at Dollar Tree the other day to pick up some V05 conditioners for cowashing and out of the corner of my eye I saw some Milani products in the makeup section! I went over to have a look and there were a bunch of the HD Advanced Lip Colors that came out a few years ago. I’m guessing they’ve been discontinued because I haven’t seen them in any drugstores lately but when they first came out they were about $7 each. I never got any when they first came out but I did remember seeing swatches and positive reviews of them. If you don’t know, everything at Dollar Tree is exactly one dollar so I was SUPER excited and promptly snatched up one of each color they had. And I must say, I am glad that I did.
They come in a slim black tube with a twist-click bottom. The packaging is very sturdy and feels like something you would get from a department store brand.
These have sheer to medium coverage. They have enough pigment that you can tell you have something on but are sheer enough to be very wearable. They are also very smooth and moisturizing. It does not feel like a lipstick at all more like a lip balm. These could not be more comfortable on the lips.
